MILE HIGH SQUASH DEBUTS AT HASHIM KHAN TOURNAMENT
Denver CO February 28, 2008: Mile High Squash was formerly introduced at the Hashim Khan Pro Doubles Tournaments at the Denver Athletic Club today. The DAC has been the longtime home of squash great Hashim Khan, a former DAC Squash Pro.
Mile High Squash is proud to emerge under the great Hashim Khan. In the London Times, New York Times, Pakistani Times and in hundreds of reviews from Mexico City to Tokyo, Hashim Khan has been hailed as the king of squash. H.W. Wind went a step further in the New Yorker, a magazine not given to overstatement: “The greatest athlete for his age the world has ever seen may well be Hashim Khan, the Pakistani squash-racquets player. Hashim has outlasted what amounts to three generations of tournament rivals. No one else in the history of the game has built up a record half so impressive. He is at least the greatest squash-racquets player of all time.”
Since stunning the nabobs of British Squash with the first of his 7 world championships in 1951, Hashim has captured five major championships. Khan won the British Open seven times, the Scottish Open eight times, the U.S. Open seven times, the Canadian Open three times, five British Professional Championships, five U.S. Professional Championships, and many other major tournaments from Egypt to Australia.
