ENROLL TO PARTICIPATE

In the first year, 16 boys and girls attending two urban middle schools in the Denver metropolitan community will be eligible to participate in Mile High Squash.  16 participants will be added each year in successive years.  The participants will be chosen based on the selection criteria of effort, commitment to attend all sessions, and a base level of academic performance.  These selection criteria will be judged through a series of squash try-outs and meeting with the school teachers of the prospective participants.   Each participant will be encouraged to be in the program for three (3) years during the August through May academic school year.

All academic and squash-related activities will take place at the Denver Athletic Club.  The Denver Athletic Club has generously agreed to allow the organization to use its facilities free of charge.

There will be no charge to any participant to enroll in Mile High Squash, except that each participant will be expected to pay a small portion of squash tournament entry fees (~$10 per tournament) and nominal costs associated with trips and special events.

VOLUNTEER

There are many ways to get involved with Mile High Squash. Whether your expertise lies in the books or on the courts, our programs always welcome new volunteers, sponsors and supporters throughout the year. If you aren’t able to make the weekly after-school sessions, you can always join on the weekends as a squash coach or field trip chaperone, or apply to be a mentor for one of our students.
